Announcing September 2020 Workshop by Atelier HOKO - “A Workshop on ZOOM - on ZOOM.”

Whether intentional or not, ZOOM (and other similar web conference tools) is assigning new relationships and producing situations where our domestic and social spaces are transforming. It is also highlighting certain spatial elements and conditions that were previously unnoticed. The daily usage of ZOOM by millions around the world has established this form of communication as another reality that we will be living with. In this workshop, we will be examining the effects of ZOOM on our everyday spaces, rituals and actions.

Atelier HOKO (2002, Singapore) is an independent research lab that focuses on the study of the growing disengagement between people, things and space. The atelier hopes to cultivate in people, an open-ness and ability to un-know, bringing about a heightened curiosity towards all phenomena by taking a fresh look at reality. Founded by Alvin Ho and Clara Koh.
